TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER: AFTERMARKET

Due to recent growth a well-respected global leisure marine (yachting) manufacturer is looking to fill an exciting position within its sales team.

The role will be working with their UK aftermarket customers helping them to build their sales and providing them with expert technical support.

Helping the aftermarket customers to market product to retail customers is also a key part of the role.

Working with the Sales Manager, your client list will include some of the largest chandlers, sailmakers and riggers in the UK.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, customer focused and able to work to specific targets.

You should be able to manage the existing client base, whilst working with the rest of the sales team on new areas for growth.

Experience in and a passion for sailing is essential.

This is a technical role and the successful applicant will need to become an expert in the company's products and processes to ensure the highest level of customer support.

You will receive full training in the extensive product range and systems.

The role will be mostly based at their South Coast facility but will require some travel around the UK and Ireland.

Essential criteria:
- Positive and self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer focused.
- Team player.
- IT literate with MS office experience.
- Organised with good time management skills.

Useful skills
- Experience and passion for sailing.
- Technical aptitude towards rigs and deck equipment.
- Previous sales experience.
- Experience in sail making or rigging.

The ideal person for this role will have between three and eight years experience working in a technical / aftersales capacity in a yachting / sailing environment.
