Key Responsibilities Security & Safety

  • Carry out regular patrols of the marina, pontoons, and boatyard.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to any unusual activity.

  • Attend boats with triggered alarms — including resetting alarms where required.
Customer Service

  • Provide excellent customer service to berth holders and visitors.
  • Offer assistance on the pontoons, ensuring boats are safely and correctly tied up.
  • Maintain calm, helpful, and professional communication at all times.
General Duties

  • Operate marina equipment and follow operational procedures.
  • Support the wider site team when required.
Skills & Experience Required Essential

  • Proven background in customer service or working in a customer‑facing role.
  • A positive, proactive “can‑do” attitude.
  • Ability to work confidently both alone and as part of a team.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and respond to incidents effectively.
  • Ability to learn and use computer software and reporting systems.
  • Practical ability to tie off a boat safely (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to swim.
Preferred (but not essential)

  • Previous experience in a marina, security, or night‑shift operational role.
  • Basic boating or marine knowledge — particularly useful for safety and decision-making.
Full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Working Pattern
  • 12‑hour night shifts (typically 7pm–7am).
  • 4 days on / 4 days off rota.
  • Some weekends and Bank/Public Holidays included.
  • Occasional limited daytime shifts may be required.
