Job description
A leading UK boatbuilder is looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to join their growing team in Norfolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-quality sailing yachts and motor vessels within a well-established, forward-thinking yard.
The Role
You’ll be part of the engineering team responsible for fitting, installing and maintaining a wide range of marine systems across new-build projects. No two days are the same – you’ll be hands-on across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring every vessel is finished to an exceptional standard.

Based in Norfolk. Candidates should be within commutable distance or open to relocation.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and test marine systems: engines, propulsion, plumbing, heating, fuel and electrical.
- Diagnose and resolve engineering faults efficiently.
- Work closely with production teams to meet build deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Carry out routine servicing and mechanical maintenance during build stages.
- Follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Maintain high levels of workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
- Background in marine engineering, boatbuilding or similar precision engineering.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability.
- Experience with inboard engines, stern gear, plumbing and auxiliary systems.
- Confident working independently and as part of a busy production team.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Passionate about delivering quality work with a keen eye for detail.
