Prepare surfaces and apply paint/coatings to components and assemblies in the boatbuilding process and Lifeboat repair. Ensure tasks are performed professionally within ILC/ALC.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces (hand and abrasive blasting) and apply various paint finishes on Lifeboat substrates and assemblies.
- Assess and repair surface finishes to restore coatings.
- Use diverse paint schemes, coatings, and application methods.
- Identify and set up tools, materials, and equipment for tasks.
- Ensure compliance with job delivery standards.
- Safely move marine vessels and components using correct lifting equipment and methods.
- Utilize engineering drawings, data, and documentation accurately.
- Promote and practice good occupational health, safety, and environmental behaviors.
- Meet safety, quality, production, cost, and people targets.
- Apply continuous improvement (Lean) tools and techniques.
- Be available for emergency stand-by duties outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Participate in additional ad hoc tasks as needed.
- Participate in sea trials.
- Deliver boats to and from the coast.
