What You’ll Do:
As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and fitting of systems and components across Oyster’s yachts. Working from technical drawings and collaborating with other trades, your role is central to delivering yachts to the high standards Oyster is known for. Key responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to guide installations
- Installing and fabricating metalwork, hydraulic systems, plumbing, and gas systems
- Operating machinery and hand tools safely and accurately
- Collaborating with other trades to plan and execute installation work
- Ensuring all installations meet Oyster’s exacting quality standards
- Applying practical problem-solving skills to achieve a flawless finish
- Strong metal fabrication skills and knowledge of hydraulics
- High standard of plumbing and gas knowledge
- Ability to operate machinery and hand tools correctly and safely
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Practical problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team
- Experience in marine construction or luxury yacht builds is highly desirable

- Monday – Friday, 40-hour week (with optional early starts from 06:30)
- Option for a 4-day working week
- Enhanced overtime rates for hours worked beyond 40 per week
- Additional bonus payments for extended hours (45+)
