Marine Electrician – Luxury Yachts
Location: Wroxham | Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Our client in the Luxury Yacht sector is looking for skilled Marine Electricians to join their team and help bring world-class sailing yachts to life. These yachts are designed to circumnavigate the globe, so we need electricians who take pride in their craft, hold themselves to the highest standards, and enjoy tackling complex challenges in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do:
As a Marine Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining all electrical, electronic, and navigation systems onboard luxury yachts. You will work closely with engineering, boatbuilding, and other departments to ensure all systems are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
Reading and interpreting complex electrical drawings and schematics
Installing electrical equipment, electronics, and navigation systems
Carrying out testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems
Coordinating your work with other trades to meet project timelines
Performing general maintenance on equipment, including PAT testing
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a marine or yacht electrician
Strong knowledge of AC and DC systems
Relevant electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled, collaborative team
Strong organisational skills and the ability to take responsibility for your work
