Marine Resources are proud to support one of our long standing clients in their search for an experienced CNC expert to join the business.
 
If you have experience across programming and operation of CNC machines within a woodworking environment this is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your breadth of knowledge within a high end business at the forefront of the market.
 
As a Joinery shop section lead will form the first layer of leadership to the CNC and Wood mill section within the joiner’s shop. Assisting the joinery coordinator in producing joinery to the highest quality, on-time and to budget.
 
Key Job Responsibilities
 
  • Possess a high knowledge and experience of the production of CNC programme for Joinery/ proficient in Alpha-cam software
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and disseminate technical information effectively.
  • To have practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Have a can-do attitude and be proactive.
  • To have good organisational skills and an aptitude for applying technical knowledge practically.
  • To implement the planning of teams within the Joinery shop CNC and Wood mill and carry out other duties that may help production.
  • To liaise closely with the Joinery coordinator regarding material requirements and quality issues.
  • To ensure completion and sign off In-build audits.
  • Ensuring all applicable compliance records are up to date.
  • Keeping the Joinery coordinator updated.
  • To allocate team’s job hours and ensure all timesheets are coded correctly.
  • Ensure on time delivery to high quality standards
  • Maintain 6S standards on their section.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies.
  • The ability to liaise with other trades.
  • To be hard working, truthful and conscientious always.
 
Requirements
 
  • Knowledge and experience of CNC programming and operation.
  • Understanding of Wood mill operations.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills
