My client design and build a range of award-winning Superyacht tenders to impeccably high standards. The opportunity for an experienced Composite/GRP Boatbuilder to join the team has arisen as part of the company’s ongoing development plan.

My client's Composite Boatbuilders are responsible for a broad range of composites related tasks on new build semi-custom and full custom vessels. The role will include everything from mould preparation, to component installation, to final fit out. This is a diverse role that requires a broad understanding of composite construction processes and small craft construction. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and diligent individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in related employment, and the ability to work at a high standard.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Composite/GRP manufacture in hand laid, infusion and prepreg materials
• Pattern making for small components, working from 2D and 3D drawings
• Construction and installation of internal and external structure
• Installation and assembly of custom composite/GRP components into the vessel structure, including sub mouldings, lifting structures and sub-components such as hatches and doors
• Equipment installation including deck hardware, lifting components, hatches, doors and windows including opening mechanisms, fabrications etc
• Preparation for gel repair/ paint and basic painting processes such as filling, fairing, and priming
• Problem solving and fault diagnosis
• Lead a project, planning the work on the vessel, checking information and stock, planning and meeting timescales

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Experienced in new build GRP construction, polyester/vinylester and epoxy
• Proof of marine qualifications desirable
• Experience in a high-quality new build, custom manufacturer. Superyacht tender experience advantageous
• Working to a high standard
• Working within set timescales
• Ability to be independent as well as work within a team on a vessel project – planning own work and checking stock and information
• Ability to follow instruction and work in a safe and productive manner


Salary & Benefits
- £15-£19 per hour dependent on experience
- 20 days paid holiday per, plus bank holidays the working days fall on. Some of these days will be reserved for their 2 weeks Christmas shut down.
- Working pattern Monday – Thursday 10 hours each day.
