Job description

We’re supporting a high-profile professional sports team in their search for an organised and proactive HR Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performance environment where no two days are the same.
If you’ve already built a solid foundation in HR administration and you’re ready to take on more responsibility, this role will give you exactly that, ownership, variety and the chance to support a team operating at the top of their game.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, coordinating interviews and supporting hiring managers
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts and all onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate new starter logistics and ensure team-wide communication
  • Organise new hire orientations
  • Maintain employee files and HR systems, ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Support data entry for holidays, sickness and personnel records
  • Assist senior management with the rollout of a new HR system
  • Be the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures and handbooks
  • Assist with monthly payroll, ensuring all starter/leaver details and HMRC requirements are complete
  • Support employee benefits administration (pensions, healthcare, etc.)
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee wellbeing
  • Coordinate performance appraisals
  • Manage probation processes and guide hiring managers through next steps
  • Keep senior management updated on HR policy changes
  • Support detailed visa and compliance processes
About You
  • 2+ years’ experience in an HR administrative role
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and employment documentation
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation basics
  • Confident communicator — calm under pressure and proactive in your approach
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Trusted to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • A collaborative team player
