As a Marine Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and fostering relationships with Harken’s valued clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Growing sales of Harken and Harken-distributed products with assigned accounts, ensuring both personal and company sales targets are met.
- Conducting face-to-face client visits, merchandising, and assisting with quotes and product specifications.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the marine sector.
- Providing technical support and answering queries on existing hardware.
- Managing the entire order process, from conception to completion, ensuring seamless delivery.
- Maintaining and updating the CRM system.
- Handling returns and warranty claims with efficiency and professionalism.
- Collaborating with the dispatch and purchasing teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Supporting and attending marine exhibitions and events as required.
- Technical sailing experience and knowledge – A keen and experienced sailor with an in-depth understanding of boat hardware products.
- Sales experience – A self-starter with a proven track record in a target-driven sales environment.
- Attention to detail – A meticulous approach to managing orders and customer interactions.
- Strong communication skills – The ability to build relationships and communicate clearly and concisely, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
- Full manual driving licence – For client visits and event attendance.
- Flexibility – Willingness to work occasional weekends for boat shows and trade events.
