My client based in Cowes is urgently looking for a Technician Mechanic
Whatever the weather, boats and equipment need to be manufactured, maintained and repaired to the very highest technical standards.
You will have successfully completed a time served apprenticeship or equivalent with the relevant City and Guilds or NVQ3 qualification.
For this role you will need to have
- A good experience of maintaining, installing and repairing: Marine inboard diesel engines, to include, cooling systems, control mechanisms, fuel systems and exhaust systems. Also marine petrol outboard engines, fuel systems and associated control systems
- You should also have experience in Marine Fitting installations on yacht/power boat construction within a boatyard/factory environment.
- You'll be practical with the capability of reading and working with drawings, meeting production deadlines and working to a high standard.
- You should be able to work as part of a team and be able to work alone on occasion whilst following and applying safe working practices.
- Good communication skills are essential to provide technical support and advice and to be proactive within the company appraisal system
