Supply Chain Technical Product Manager (6-Month Placement)

About the Role:

Join our client in Southampton for a 6-month stint as a Supply Chain Technical Product Manager. You’ll help align supply chain strategies with product development in the luxury yacht industry.

What You’ll Do Strategy & Planning

• Work with engineering and procurement teams to match supply chain goals with product plans.
• Manage a Request for Quotation (RFQ) tracker focused on costs.

Teamwork

• Coordinate with teams across design, sales, marketing, and operations for smooth product launches.
• Help design teams with cost-effective and functional product features.

Supplier Relationships

• Pick and manage manufacturers, ensuring specs, installations, and warranties meet standards.
• Build strong supplier partnerships, onboard new suppliers, and ensure quality compliance.
• Work with suppliers to improve products and reduce costs.

Problem-Solving & Leadership

• Guide teams on product design, architecture, and user experience.
• Analyze issues in the supply chain and find actionable solutions.

Monitoring & Risk

• Track product performance and drive improvement.
• Evaluate and manage risks tied to supply chain processes.

Skills & Experience What You’ll Need

• Solid product management experience across all lifecycle stages in the Marine Industry. 
• Deep understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, and product design.
• Knowledge of yacht building and functional design principles.
• Proven skills in supplier management and cost optimization.
