Senior Systems Engineer

Working within a strong technical team, this role is suited to a Senior Systems Engineer with a background in a variety of sensors for civilian and military use. This role will be pivotal to the integration of systems and subsystems through the project life cycle from bid to post-delivery support.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be tasked with the generation of technical bids, multi-senor systems, defining hardware & software changes and delivery of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Definition and delivery of Systems solutions
Take an active role in design solutions to current product ranges and the generation of new product design, providing systems input throughout product development, into production and ensuring compliance to customer, business and legislation requirements
Maintain support throughout delivery and post-delivery; including visiting sites and installations as required
Keep up to date and introduce new technology into company system designs; including attending conferences, seminars and the publication of technical papers
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and other collaborators on systems related matters. Working closely with other team members on implementing strong engineering processes as well as acting as a mentor for more junior members of staff
Technical expert for Sales & Marketing to support the generation of bids, presentations and meetings

Key Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of Product Development, Change Management, Systems Engineering, and their application
Strong working knowledge of Multi-Sensor Systems, Radar, RF, EW, Communication Systems, Networking or Electro Optical Camera Solutions
Proven experience of integration and demonstration of similar equipment, including sensor integration into varied platforms
Other requirements:
Ideally qualified to degree level within Engineering/Mathematics/Physics although equivalent experience will be considered.
Member of a Professional Engineering Institution (e.g. IMechE, IET, INCOSE).
Willingness to travel.
UK Security clearance.
UK Driving License.

The successful individual will have experience in a similar role, and have in-depth knowledge of a variety of sensors for commercial and military use. Will be flexible and analytical in their approach with organisational and problem solving skills.
