Job title – Senior Marine technician – Mobile
Salary - £30,978 - £36,445 (dependent on experience)
We are actively seeking an experience marine engineer who is very adaptable and can quickly fault find and diagnose problems with high powered outboard engines.
Responsibilities
Responsible to carry out regular routine maintenance task and repairs to high powered outboard engines effectively and efficiently to a high standard
Required to work within Southeast region at different depots from Hastings to Dover.
As a senior engineer taking a lead and understanding the health and safety requirements
Responsible for the day to day running and upkeep of the Lifeboat station.
For this role you will be required to have
A strong understanding of the engineering of outboard engines (Outboard engine certifications are a preference)
Essential: Marine/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent to NVQ level 3 or equivalent; or assessment qualification.
Pass medical and fitness standards for seagoing personnel.
Full driving licence required
Have thorough Maritime knowledge and the ability to command and lead a team. Safely operate boats up to 20 metres in length in a variety of conditions.
Knowledge of RNLI/SAR and lifeboat operations.
Demonstrable leadership experience in an operational role.
