Marine Resources are seeking a Quality Inspector for our client who is a leading manufacturer of large composite structures and GRP mouldings in the Dorset area.

They provide a complete composites manufacturing service from design & engineering to parts manufacturing and final assembly and are committed to staying at the forefront of the composites manufacturing industry by using the latest technologies and techniques to produce high-quality and sustainable products.

Customers include top names in industries such as Marine Defense, Aerospace, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.
 
**The Role:**
This role within the company involves the verification and quality control of incoming, outgoing, and internally manufactured products to ensure they meet customer requirements, accrediting body standards, and internal procedures.
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for visually inspecting composite parts, conducting FaroArm dimensional inspections, using traditional metrology tools and gauges, reviewing oven and autoclave cure data, and documenting non-conformance occurrences.
In addition, the Quality Inspector will assist in the non-conformity review process and provide feedback to the Quality and Production teams to enhance product quality.
This role also includes goods inwards inspection of parts and materials and reviewing in-process and completed manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with customer and company standards.
 
**Duties & Responsibilities:**
 
- Visually inspect composite parts to customer and company standards.
- Conduct FaroArm dimensional inspections of composite tooling and parts.
- Perform dimensional inspections using traditional metrology tools and gauges (Calipers, Height Gauges, etc.).
- Review oven and autoclave cure data for compliance.
- Document non-conformance occurrences following company procedures.
- Assist in the non-conformity review process with initial investigations.
- Provide feedback to the Quality and Production teams on product quality and opportunities for improvement.
- Inspect goods inwards to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company procedures.
- Review in-process documentation to ensure compliance with customer and company processes and procedures.
- Review completed manufacturing documentation prior to product delivery.
 
**Key Skills & Qualifications:**
 
- Practical experience with FaroArm CMM equipment or a similar system.
- Previous experience in a similar position in a composite component manufacturing environment.
- Robust experience in prepreg and infusion processes for composite materials.
- Knowledge of working with ISO 9001/ AS9100 quality management systems.
- Proficiency in understanding and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Willingness to adapt under pressure to ensure quality requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Excellent soft skills, including communication, adaptability, and critical thinking.
- (Preferable) Understanding of working to ASME Y14.5.
