Job Title: Project Planner/Scheduler

Our client, a leading designer, manufacturer, and maintainer of high-speed workboats for global defense and security markets, is seeking a Project Planner/Scheduler to join their growing team.

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is looking for a skilled Project Planner to contribute to the development and delivery of manufacturing projects. As the Project Planner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet high standards in HSE, schedule adherence, cost control, and technical performance. This role involves taking responsibility for creating and maintaining operational manufacturing plans, engaging with colleagues and third parties, and providing accurate information to support efficient project scheduling and execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain effective plans across the full project lifecycle for a portfolio of projects.
  • Actively schedule multiple project plans and communicate effectively with Project Managers.
  • Lead the development of high-level project plans during early concept phases.
  • Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project plans supporting project delivery phases.
  • Provide progress reports, S curves, schedule variance, and schedule performance information.
  • Conduct resource planning and update resource utilization forecasts.
  • Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to create schedules and manage deliveries.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within plans.
  • Ensure project construction work is scheduled and coordinated into the asset work plan.
  • Support the development of project planning systems and procedures.
  • Familiarity with change management, including risk assessment and management.
  • Adhere to quality management systems and safety policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficient user of planning software (MS Project).
  • Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
  • Degree in Engineering or Project Management discipline is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience of marine product development process and activities beneficial.
  • Awareness of budget and financial management.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.
