Product Support Specialist (Maritime Thermal Camera)

We have a great opportunity with a well-known marine brand working with Maritime Thermal Camera’s! Our client is well established in the Marine Industry, they have great career progression and are set to grow over the next few years, which you would be an integral part of!
 
This is a permanent full time position based in Southampton with international travel involved. Our client is looking for a new Product Support Specialist who will be responsible for 1st & 2nd line support and infield onboard diagnostics and repair of their Thermal Camera’s.
 
Responsibilities:
  • 1st & 2nd line response to customer enquiries giving detailed technical guidance via Telephone, web and email
  • Following up customer contact as necessary ensuring satisfactory resolutions
  • Assisting and supporting in resolution of customer complaints
  • To develop and publish support documentation to enhance the online customer support
  • To support customers remotely via web team viewer sessions
  • To arrange local resources to remove and replace defective products, co-ordinating replacement products and spares as necessary
  • Undertake in-field service visits
  • To support administration of returns and repairs
  • To report and follow up in-field issues
  • To lead escalation of fault technical diagnoses with full triage capability
  • Drive field improvement
  • Responsible for Product led growth associated with assigned products
 
The ideal candidate has:
  • Has ONC/OND in electronics/Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years in similar marine industry related position
  • Some Experience of commercial shipping or electronics
  • Experience of electrical and electronic repair and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of ethernet networks and infrastructures required
  • Self-motivated, ability to prioritise workload
  • Be willing to travel internationally
  • Good communication skills with team members and clients
  • PC literate
