Naval Architect

A new & exciting opportunity for a Naval Architect to join the design team at a luxury sailing yacht builder in the Southwest region of Turkey. Working across conceptualisation, design, and calculating and checking new and existing designs. Office based, but also supporting the production department where necessary and attending sea trials as and when.

Responsibilities:

• Designing deck hardware layouts

• Optimising various designs in terms of sailing specific requirements

• Supporting Structural Engineering

• Stability calculations for all yachts

• CE compliance for all existing and new models

• General design work in all areas as necessary

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in English

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or similar

• Ideally 2+ years of experience

• Shipyard experience is beneficial

• Familiar with Rhino 3D

• Any experience with HullScant, Orca & Max Surf would be beneficial

• Strong sailing background – desirable
