The Role

As a Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and components across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery performance
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure contractual compliance
• Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with vendors
• Creating and issuing purchase orders
• Updating internal systems with order details including dates, quantities and discounts
• Tracking order progress to ensure timely delivery
• Verifying goods received against purchase documentation
• Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience negotiating with suppliers in a professional environment
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and external vendors
• Professional phone manner and polished interpersonal skills
• Solid IT capability; experience with Sage 200 is an advantage
• A hands‑on, practical approach to problem‑solving
