Materials/Warehousing Manager
A leading maritime brand based in Southampton seek a Materials/Warehousing Manager to join them due to further expansion across their various manufacturing site.
With a history in the manufacture of high value items for the marine sector, the brand now employ around 300 staff across both South and East coast sites and have ambiguous plans to evolve in what is a busy marketplace. Following new appointments within Supply Chain, there is now an immediate need for a warehousing professional to join the team, tasked with the following:
- Co-Ordination of a major stores move at one of the main manufacturing hubs
- Implementation of a new ERP systems
- Communication across all areas of the business to provide a seamless process from Goods-in through to being supplied to the shop floor
- Formalising of a clear catalogue system that tallies with BOMs
- Working to and creating a series of KPIs across the stores team (8 across three sites)
Plus many further duties.
The role itself will suit an experienced professional with a number of years experience in a similar role, keen on a new challenge. You'll be used to working in either a volume or high value manufacturing environment and be confident in both leading a team and implementing new systems to ensure you department runs seamlessly.
Of strong desirability would be experience in a stores relocation and new ERP system rollout.
Please note that this role will also include regular travel to and from the East Coast. Use of a vehicle will be provided, but as such a full UK driving license is imperative
A salary of around £35,000 benefits will be offered
