A luxury small craft brand is currently looking for a Junior Fabrication Draughts person, this is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the leading brands in this sector. Designing small crafts to impeccably high standards.

The position is aimed at a junior designer looking to grow and build their skills working on design tasks for a range of production, semi-custom and fully custom small crafts. Covering all aspects of fabrication design working alongside an incredibly well-developed and experienced team.

Main Responsibilities:
Produce detailed manufacturing 2D drawings & 3D modelling, working closely with the manufacturing teams.
Working closely with the design team, aiding them by ensuring all drawings are detailed and issued to a consistently high standard.
Work with the fabrication department to ensure new designs are manufacturable.
Worn on new development projects, learning new manufacturing methods, and looking into new materials and suppliers. Sustainability is a big part of this company’s future.
Contribute to the bills of materials for new and current build projects.

Skills & Qualifications:
Higher Education background.
1-2 years experience in a similar role, a portfolio of work would be advantageous.
Experienced in 3D surface and 3D solid modelling design packages including Rhinoceros and Onshape/Solid Works.
An eye for detail, the ability to complete multiple tasks and on schedule.
A driven and productive individual with a drive to learn and progress.
The ability to work collaborative, strong communicator and the drive to support all departments within the company.

Desirable experience:
Knowledge of small power craft construction & design.
Knowledge of the yachting industry and the operational requirements of small crafts.
Hands-on experience with metal fabrication would also be desirable.
