Job Title: Marine GRP Finisher
Location: Peterborough
Pay Rate: £25 per hour (Outside IR35)
Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Marine GRP Finishers to join our production team in Peterborough on a contract basis. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring that our marine vessels meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics during the final manufacturing stages.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for construction by sanding, filling, and smoothing.
  • Apply gel coat, marine-grade paint, and other specialized finishes to fiberglass and composite components.
  • Buff, polish, and wax finished vessels to achieve a durable, high-quality surface.
  • Inspect completed vessels for defects and make necessary adjustments.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all industry safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Marine GRP Finisher or similar role in the marine industry.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools for marine finishing tasks.
  • Expertise in marine finishing techniques, including gel coat and paint application.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of marine safety practices and proper use of PPE.
