Responsibilities:
      1. Develop and maintain software applications that facilitate the simulation and performance analysis of marine technologies using Python, HTML, and JavaScript.
      2. Collaborate with the Simulation and Performance team to gather requirements, define software specifications, and implement efficient solutions.
      3. Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces and front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
      4. Build robust and scalable back-end systems using Python and related frameworks such as FastAPI.
      5. Integrate third-party tools, libraries, and APIs to enhance the functionality and performance of the software applications.
      6. Optimise software performance and ensure efficient utilisation of computational resources.
      7. Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of software components to ensure high-quality deliverables.
      8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and domain experts, to develop comprehensive software solutions.
      9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software development methodologies and technologies, and apply them to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
      10. Document software design, implementation details, and user manuals to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing within the team.
 
Requirements:
      1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
      2. Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in developing scalable and maintainable applications.
      3. Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience in popular frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
      4. Solid understanding of web application development, including RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and security best practices.
      5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design and implement innovative software solutions.
      6. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
      7. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively to meet project deadlines.
 
Nice to have:
      1. Familiarity with database systems, including NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
      2. Experience with simulation technologies or performance analysis in related domains (e.g., engineering, physics, or fluid dynamics).
      3. Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) for cloud-based deployments and infrastructure management.
