We're looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take charge of the daily finance operations for one of Europe’s largest marine distributors. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technology used across the marine industry, from leisure cruising to high‑end racing yachts.
This role is fully office‑based to ensure close collaboration with the Finance Assistant and wider management team. We're seeking someone with strong leadership experience, extensive payroll knowledge, and the ability to support the business in achieving its strategic goals.

This role is fully office‑based to ensure close collaboration with the Finance Assistant and wider management team. We're seeking someone with strong leadership experience, extensive payroll knowledge, and the ability to support the business in achieving its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the finance function, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Produce and maintain monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Manage daily cashflow across multiple currencies and handle foreign exchange accounts.
- Run end‑to‑end payroll and pensions, resolving any issues with accuracy and efficiency.
- Complete VAT returns and year‑end payroll submissions.
- Lead and coordinate the annual audit process.
- Prepare and maintain annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Manage licences, subscriptions and contract renewals related to the finance function.
- Keep up to date with financial regulations, trends and best practice through CPD.
- Support the development and implementation of finance policies and processes.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Play a key role within the management team, contributing to broader business objectives.
