As such we are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to ensure the facilities operate efficiently and are maintained to the highest standards. This is a key role for the firm with multiple manufacturing production lines working at once.

As a Facilities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the facilities operational efficiency and safety. You will oversee the management of the facility, ensuring that it remains a safe and productive environment for the employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring that the facilities run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure the facility remains in optimal condition.
  • Manage routine inspections and repairs of equipment, infrastructure, and systems.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all facility assets.
  • Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety training for employees.
  • Develop and manage the facility budget, including cost control and expense tracking.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Oversee relationships with external contractors, service providers, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead a team of facility maintenance staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance and support.
  • Plan and execute facility improvement and expansion projects.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address unexpected events.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Facilities Engineer role or similar.
  • NEBOSH Certified
  • Experience in managing small teams and scheduling tasks.
  • Relevant Electrical Engineering and mechanical qualifications.
