Marine Resources are working with a world leading furniture company specialising in high-end bespoke pieces for Superyachts, Private residence and Commercial clientele.
 
This position is applicable to someone with or without Programming experience and we are keen to speak to people at any stage of their CNC career.
 
Our client is a well-established company where designers and craftspeople push the boundaries of furniture making through creativity and skill.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to take your previous skills to the next level and to work with a variety of materials, techniques and a state-of-the-art CNC.
 
Working in the CNC department alongside dedicated craftspeople within their in-house laser, cabinet making, finishing and leather teams, you will have the opportunity to develop some of the most innovative construction techniques and iconic furniture of today.
 
Technical Skills:
 
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Experience of working with wood and ideally the use of traditional wood working machines.
  • Ability to operate 3 axis/5 Axis CNCs to produce furniture components, jigs and fixtures required by production.
  • Good communication and ability to discuss constructional details effectively.
  • Adherence to best practice and positively react to changing demands of the company.
  • Training will be provided but experience with AutoCAD, Rhino (3D) and Alphacam is highly desirable.
  • Joinery/cabinet making experience would be beneficial in aiding other departments to meet key project milestones.
  • Ability to play ping pong!

  • An interest in all aspects of CNC work including wood/metal milling and engineering .
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and skills.

We are willing to consider applicants who have just completed training, or who have extensive experience. Salary is negotiable dependant on this experience.
