This role provides a great opportunity to join a dynamic, passionate company through a time of growth. They are a fun, motivated team filled with knowledgeable staff who are excited for a new member to join us as soon as possible. Selling a large range of products for boats from paint to safety equipment, to a wide variety of leisure and trade customers.
 
Day to day tasks will include:
  • Be extremely customer service and sales focussed, maximising selling opportunities and ensuring quality customer care is provided
  • Greeting customers on the shop floor, helping them with product selection
  • Use a computerised till stock system
  • Helping with phone and email enquiries, order processing and general business admin
  • Deal with any customer enquiries and complaints, proving a good customer experience
  • Maintain product displays, keeping shelves well presented and topped up with stock
  • Assist with shop cleaning rota
  • Assist with stock-taking
  • To support the team in performing other duties as and when required
 The ideal candidate will have:
  • A good amount of boat/marine knowledge
  • Strong communications skills
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to use your own initiative
  • Team player
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Office
 Desirables:
  • Previous Marine industry experience
  • Previous sales or customer service experience
  • Previous retail experience
  • Prior experience of using an ERP or stock management system

The role is 38 hours per week worked on a rota and requires that you work alternate weekends and bank holidays. The position involves some lifting and you’ll be on your feet for large amounts of the day.
