Job description
We’re working with a well-established and respected marine finance lender that is creating a senior position to drive growth in the commercial marine finance sector.
The Business Development Manager will lead the development and expansion of the commercial marine finance portfolio, working closely with the Managing Director to set growth targets, develop strategic plans, and introduce new products or services.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including operators, brokers, shipyards, and professional service providers
Leverage existing contacts and build strong partnerships with commercial marine clients and industry stakeholders
Work with senior management to set growth targets, develop strategic plans, and support business development initiatives
Collaborate with underwriting, credit, and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution and excellent client service
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Oversee credit quality within the commercial marine portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in commercial marine finance or a closely related asset finance sector, with an established network of contacts across the commercial marine market, including operators, brokers, shipyards, and other relevant stakeholders.
