Job description

Spares & Service Coordinator

We are supporting a world-leading engineering business that designs and manufactures advanced ship motion control systems for the commercial, defence and luxury yacht sectors. Their technology is used globally, and they’re now looking to strengthen their UK team with a capable, hands-on Spares & Service Coordinator. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love solving technical problems, and enjoy being the steady hand that keeps customers happy, this role has your name all over it.

The Role
You’ll be joining a highly skilled technical and operations team, acting as the key link between customers, engineering, purchasing and manufacturing. Your mission? Keep customers up and running by delivering smart, timely, accurate technical support and spares coordination.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Handling incoming customer queries and resolving issues with confidence and clarity
  • Troubleshooting technical problems and guiding customers step-by-step
  • Identifying required parts and issuing accurate quotes
  • Coordinating with internal teams to resolve complex issues
  • Processing customer orders and ensuring on-time delivery
  • Picking, packing and preparing parts for shipment
  • Keeping customers updated on progress, delays and shipping information
  • Following up to make sure issues are fully resolved
  • Maintaining stock awareness and flagging low or out-of-stock items
  • Supporting ongoing improvements across the service function
What you’ll bring:
  • Experience in a technical support or service coordination role
  • Mechanical, electrical or hydraulic understanding (formal qualifications welcome but not essential)
  • Strong troubleshooting capability and a practical, solutions-driven mindset
  • Confident communication skills and a customer-first approach
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with MRP/ERP systems is ideal
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to stay on top of multiple moving parts in a busy environment
  • Reliability, pace, accuracy and a genuinely proactive approach
This is a brilliant chance to join a respected global brand with a close-knit UK team delivering highly specialised technology across the maritime world.
