Job Title: Boatyard Operative (Part Time – 30 hrs per week)
Location: Royal Quays Marina, North Shields

If you enjoy working by the water and want a practical, hands‑on role, this could be a great opportunity. I’m currently recruiting for a Boatyard Operative to join the team at Royal Quays Marina on a part‑time basis.
This is an operational role working within the marina boatyard, supporting vessel lifting, launching, towing and general yard activities. You’ll be joining a safety‑focused, practical team and will play an important part in ensuring the boatyard runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Requirements To be considered for this position, you should be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in a practical, hands‑on operational role
• Strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices
• Confidence working outdoors in all weather conditions and undertaking physical tasks
• A full UK driving licence (essential)
• Experience within a marina, boatyard or maritime environment (desirable)
• Experience of boat handling, lifting operations or operating boatyard plant (desirable)
• RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Any relevant plant or lifting equipment certification would be beneficial – training can be provided where appropriate

Working Pattern

• Part time: 30 hours per week
• Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• Flexibility required to support operational needs, including some weekend and Bank Holiday work
