Experience:
The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced furniture maker or draughtsperson with a minimum of 2 years' experience within the bespoke furniture industry.

The Role:
The role of the Draughtsperson is working as part of a small team where you will be producing accurate technical drawings for manufacture, taking design concepts, and developing them into full working drawings for manufacture.
You will work closely and directly with the Project Manager's on a variety of projects and create detailed CAD drawings for production on a variety of projects at any one time.

Technical Skills:
  • This role requires the individual to be driven and support the project management team through working both independently and as part of a wider project team.
  • The responsibility of this role is to produce accurate technical drawings in 2D AutoCAD and Rhino 3D to convert design concepts into technical furniture drawings for client approval and manufacture.
  • A good working knowledge of traditional and contemporary construction processes is required.
  • Teamwork and good communication with the project management team and our design, laser, CNC, cabinet making, finishing and leather departments to push boundaries of creativity and innovation.
  • Be able to work efficiently in a technical manner utilising AutoCAD and Rhino 3D, or other 2D/3D software drafting knowledge and appreciation. Able to utilise IT and systems proficiently. For example, Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to produce highly detailed technical drawings for roduction. Efficiently prioritise designated tasks and communicate potential concerns to the project team.
Personal Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail is paramount and quality control is essential.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to prioritizing and organizing work, ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Following and adhering to working practices and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective, strong, and professional working relationships with others at all levels.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise workload from a variety of different sources.
  • Co-operate, liaise with and support team members to assist in achieving departmental goals whilst continually improving technical knowledge and experience.
  • Proactively contribute ideas for improving practices and efficiency.
