As a Structural Engineer, your primary role is to deliver fully resolved structural drawings and models, adhering to set timescales, regulations, and production standards. Working collaboratively with various departments, you'll be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of all GRP mouldings and glazing.

As a Structural Engineer, your primary role is to deliver fully resolved structural drawings and models, adhering to set timescales, regulations, and production standards. Working collaboratively with various departments, you'll be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of all GRP mouldings and glazing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D concept structural schemes for proposed designs.
- Advise on required structural envelope during the concept stage of design.
- Liaise with class and flag authorities on structural rules/compliance issues.
- Survey and evaluate existing vessel structures for refit work.
- Produce detailed construction drawings, BOM, assembly process flip book, and welding schedules.
- Provide ongoing technical support to yard and clients.
- Present ideas to clients and iterate structural models as designs develop.
- Generate detailed structural component weights and Cg data.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in structural analysis and design of composite structures.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD and Siemens NX).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the marine industry is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
