Marine resources are seeking a project manager with a composite background to work between design and production teams for a one of a kind project with a world leading client in composite structures. 

This project is an unseen scale marine build where build operations will be based in Poland in a brand-new purpose-built facility.

Our client is building a new team for the project and are seeking passionate and driven profesionals who are keen to steer a new team in a continuous improvement cycle of work.

In the role you will be based between Hampshire and Poland and are be expected to work at the site regularly dependant on project requirements. Flexibility on working hours will be required at some project stages.

You will ensure that appropriate members and teams are provided with information and supported in making decisions in a timely manner, then communicating all decisions to the design and production teams.

Ideal candidate:
An experienced and self-motivated project manager, preferably with design and/or construction experience and technical knowledge of composites.
Exceptional people and project management skills, with relevant skills, qualifications and experience highly advantageous.
Be willing to work collaboratively as part of a growing team on technically challenging projects.
 
Job Description:
  • Ensuring manufacturing information, drawings, processes available for build team manager
  • Reporting build project plan to senior PM.
  • Liaising with design lead to identify required build information and design requirements.
  • Control of all documents that are released to build manager. 
  • Liaising with manufacturing suppliers to ensure delivering to time and budget
  • Support the team in operational and technical discussions with senior management.
  • Work with the senior project management to understand client’s preferences, requirements and budget and develop strategy accordingly.
  • Work with the build and technical teams to ensure that projects are on time and to each owner’s contracted specification requirements.
  • Ensure that the client is represented in a knowledgeable and credible manner.
  • Report and discuss project status regularly with Directors.
  • Utilise support from company design/administrative staff as required.
  • Input into development and continual improvement of internal processes.
  • Input to design, specification and product development work as required.
 
Skills and Experience:
 
Essential:
  • Strong technical knowledge of composites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
  • Fluent in use of Microsoft Office and common software packages
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, excellent time management
  • Able to thrive in a complex and dynamic environment
 
Desirable:
  • Competence in additional languages
  • Competent with AutoCAD and Rhino 3D design packages
  • Experience/knowledge of composites from a marine or aerospace background
