To be successful in this role you must have an understanding of marine sector, ideally with technical knowledge of both sail/motor boats.
Key Responsibilities
- Spare parts service – identifying parts, liaising with suppliers and OEM factories to obtain technical specifications, prices and availability.
- Sending quotations, raising pro-forma invoices, taking payments, purchasing parts via factory intranet systems.
- Arranging shipping and/or posting as required, consolidating when necessary and ensuring the most cost-effective method is used.
- Service work – offering a full range of general maintenance services including engine servicing, anti-fouling, boat cleaning and canvas work replacement.
- Sending estimates, raising purchase orders, booking sub-contractors and preparing invoices.
- Attendance Southampton boat show
- Answering the telephone and dealing with general enquiries.
