Previous Experience:
In depth knowledge of FEA analysis and recognised procedures.
Knowledge of ship Classification Society rules.
Proven experience is ship structures design.
Experience in development and design of an internationally trading merchant vessel.
Knowledge of ship cargo handling systems and structural design implications is an advantage.
Being open to learning and embracing new tool sets and working methodologies is a must.
 
Desirable Experience:
Experience in Siemens NX or other Nastran FEA environment software is a strong advantage.
Being open to learning and embracing new tool sets and working methodologies is a must.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Commercial awareness, with the ability to ensure that works are being carried out and completed to an appropriate standard and level of detail, measured against the contracted deliverables and tracked against the agreed timeline.
The ability to work on your own or as part of a team on larger projects.
 
The successful individual for this role will likely have 3+ years of experience, with opportunities available at a mid-weight and senior level. You will have a genuine interest in new technologies and a passion for utilising new technology to create a more sustainable industry.
