MIg/Tig Welder

Due to a sustained increase in demand, we are actively seeking skilled MIG/TIG Welders to join a team in Peterborough. If you have a passion for welding, a strong background in engineering or metalwork, and the ability to work with precision and expertise, we want to hear from you.

Position Summary:

As a Contract MIG/Tig Welder, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the repair, refit, and construction of trolleys within a yacht yard. You will be entrusted with transforming detailed engineering drawings into high-quality welded products, ensuring they meet exact specifications.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Mig Tig Welding qualifications or a time-served apprenticeship.

• Previous experience in engineering or metalwork is essential.

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions with precision.

• Experience fabricating work in various gauge metals, ranging from light to medium.

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.

• Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and meticulously follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions to ensure the exact specifications of the final product.

• Fabricate components and structures using a variety of metals, with a focus on precision and quality.

• Perform MIG welding and TIG welding to create durable and flawless welds.

• Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that all products meet our stringent quality standards.

• Maintain a high level of productivity to ensure production schedules are met.

• Execute all work in strict accordance with established safety procedures.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday

• 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• Overtime opportunities available
