Marine Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced Marine Electrical Technician to join a well-established new boat dealer for some of the industries best known brands! As well as being a highly regarded refit and repair facility, this role offers fantastic variety for an experienced marine electrician.

You will have experience in the following areas:

• Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to work to exacting standards
• In depth knowledge of Marine electrical DC and AC systems.
• Experienced in marine electronic installations and service support of brands and equipment such as:
o Marine Power Systems (Mastervolt/Victron desirable)
o Solar installations
o Water makers
o Outboards
o Marine engine and generator systems
o Underwater lighting
o Marine heating systems
• Ability to give technical input into specifications and estimating
• Carrying out installation and fault-finding, service and repair on a wide range of marine leisure equipment.
• Working to the highest standards, protecting boats prior to works, leaving areas clean and tidy at the end of each day.
• Adhere to all company H&S standards.
• Maintain a professional and helpful attitude.

Skills required:
• Marine Electrical Engineering Qualification or time served apprenticeship with hands on experience.
• Working knowledge of fault finding/diagnostic general electrical systems, conversant with 12/24v DC and 240v AC power supplies and able to read schematics.
• Working knowledge of electronic engine management system testing equipment is desirable.
• Experience in installing, commissioning & fault finding a wide range of electronic equipment an advantage.
• Recent and relevant experience in the marine industry, knowledge of both power and sail boats systems essential.
• Be a holder of a valid and current UK drivers’ licence to enable individuals to work off site as and when is required.
• Knowledge of H&S protocol within a boat yard.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hard working team player, upbeat and energetic.
• Knowledge of IT systems
