One of the UKs leading marinas based on the south coast is recruiting a vital role, these opportunities don’t come up very often! We are looking for a Duty Manager to lead the continued success of one our clients most popular and esteemed Marinas. This diverse role is available due to an internal promotion, which is key as it demonstrates one of the companies main ethos. They drive and motivate their staff with additional training and development, which in turn has meant many of the team are long standing employees and are truly passionate about the brand and it’s future!

This role is ideally for a driven and enthusiastic individual who has a background in customer service, marina operations or yachting, who is looking for their next steps in this exciting sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Marina Manager to manage the site in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with the company’s mission statement.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service and facilities are not only maintained but also developed as required by the company.
  • Perform the role of ‘Duty Manager’ on an agreed rotation basis.
  • Promote and maximise the utilisation within the marina, ensuring and developing profitability from all income streams.
  • Develop staff progression and communicate business changes.
Flexibility is key for this position, as there will be varying start and finish times during busy periods. You'll also need to be available for some weekend shifts and bank/public holidays as part of the shift rota. In addition, the Duty Manager role involves being on-call outside regular hours, so you must be ready to respond to any emergencies at the marina.
