Embedded Controls Engineers – Electrified powertrains!
A company which has gone from strength to strength in the fully electric boat market is now looking to further bolster their team with an Embedded Engineer. Working in the software engineering team, developing single code base on multiple powertrain configurations, currently targeting the TriCore, ARM Cortex and C166 processors.

Key Responsibilities:
Writing and maintaining control systems & ancillary software using MATLAB Simulink & Stateflow for integration into C (for embedded) and C++ (for supporting systems)

Documentation of control systems

Key Responsibilities:
Writing and maintaining control systems & ancillary software using MATLAB Simulink & Stateflow for integration into C (for embedded) and C++ (for supporting systems)
Integration of hardware devices:
- Using CAN based communication protocols (J1939, NMEA2000 etc.)
- Display and interface integration
- Configuration tools
- Configuration tools
- Remote access capability, remote fault diagnosis and data logging
Documentation of control systems
Core Skills
- C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink & Stateflow.
- CAN, J1939, NMEA2000 (desirable but not essential).
- Embedded code development.
- Familiarity with EV powertrains and integration of the various components.
- Awareness of the software development V-model.
- Some exposure to functional safety, diagnostics, FMEAs – desirable but not essential.
- Can do attitude, proactive and can work in autonomy.
- Collaborator, flexible as well as adaptable to planning updates.
- Can work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.
- Has experience of “Agile” workflow and use of “Agile” tools such as “Atlassian JIRA” – desirable but not essential.
