My client based in Oxford is looking to grow in the technical department.
Being a proactive member of a small technical department, you will possess a strong underlying technical ability together with a comprehensive understanding of Composite Manufacturing processes and procedures common in automotive and Marine industry sectors. These skills will enable you to contribute to the design and development of products on a project driven basis and provide support to a busy Composite operation.
A hands - on approach to problem solving will enable you to identify and become involved with product / production line

Main Duties:
·Lead Composite focussed development projects as instructed by management.
·Provide technical support to Composites department.
·Liaise on technical matters with component and material suppliers to ensure best selection of materials is adopted
·Produce, maintain and manage Composite focussed 3D models, Laminate Drawings and CNC cutting files.
·Involvement in the integration of new components into Composites Department.
Qualifications and Experience
·Formal Engineering education to HND/ NVQ level 4/5 or similar standard and at least five years' experience in a Composite Engineering role.
·Competency with 3D CAD (NX preferred but not essential).
·Experience of leading design projects through a complete life-cycle'.
·Experience working with SME production lines.
·Understanding of a wide range of composite manufacturing processes common to automotive and marine industries. i.e. Open Lamination and Resin infusion.
·Understanding of CNC 3 and 5 axis programming preferable.
·Experience of working to ISO Standards preferred
