COMPLIANCE ENGINEER (DESIGN)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading performance tender builder to specialise in compliance engineering within their design team!
As an individual, you will possess a strong underlying technical ability together with a comprehensive understanding of the regulations and processes common in the maritime sector (small craft specific).
Your motivation will be the desire to contribute to and further develop world class-leading products.

As an individual, you will lead the documentation and communication of regulatory and design requirements, in accordance with industry quality standards and such tasks as may be requested by management to meet the company’s development strategy.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist development projects as instructed by management.

  • Responsible for ensuring all new and existing products adhere to the relevant international regulations and standards. This includes but is not limited to CE, NMMA and SOLAS.

  • Responsible for developing product specific literature and maintaining its accuracy. This includes product User Manuals, Labels and Declarations of Conformity.

  • Produce, maintain and manage technical assembly and manufacturing drawings.

  • Involvement in product on-water testing.

  • Provide technical support to production and sales departments.

Personal Specification

  • Degree or equivalent qualified in mechanical or marine engineering (or equivalent)

  • Experience working with 3D CAD software.

  • Understanding of general engineering and electrical systems an advantage.

  • Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes common to automotive and marine industries. Familiarisation with various moulding techniques/ laminate schedules is an advantage.
