Marine Resources are looking for a skilled and experienced Yacht Finisher to join a commissioning team to ensure the high-quality finish of luxury cruising yachts.
 
As part of the Commissioning Team, you will work ensure that all vessels are finished to the highest of standards prior to handover of the yachts.

As a Commissioning Team Finisher, your primary responsibilities will include:
 
- Collaborating with Commissioning Skippers to identify and resolve issues in new yachts.
- Rectifying GRP/Gel coat issues before handing over the yacht to its owner.
- Ensuring that all work meets the highest quality standards and adheres to best practices.
- Assisting the Commissioning Team with various tasks, such as boat cleaning, site maintenance, trial sails, and yacht deliveries.
- Coordinating with the Production and Design teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Strictly adhering to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Continuously developing your knowledge base, particularly in your area of expertise and our yacht range.
- Providing support to Production and other relevant areas within your expertise.
 
To excel in this role, you should possess the following knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications:
 
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of GRP finishing
 
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
 
Experience:
- Extensive gelcoat finishing experience.
- Previous experience in the marine industry working with yachts.
- Sailing experience is desirable.
- French polishing experience is also desirable.

Other Requirements:
This role may require some travel, including overnight stays and occasional overseas trips (approximately 1 trip every 1 to 2 months). Therefore, a full driving license valid in the UK is a must.
