Commissioning Marine Engineer

Marine Resources are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Marine Engineer for a full time permanent opportunity in Ipswich.

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Commissioning Marine Engineer to join their team in Ipswich. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the final preparation, commissioning, and sea trials of world-class sailing yachts. As a key member of their commissioning team, you will work closely with production, design, and quality control departments to ensure that every yacht meets their rigorous standards of performance, safety, and luxury.

Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections and tests on various marine systems, including propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic systems, to ensure they meet company standards.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and calibration of marine equipment, ensuring proper functioning and performance.
Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during the commissioning process.
Perform sea trials to evaluate the performance, stability, and safety of each yacht, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvements if necessary.
Train clients and crew members on the proper operation and maintenance of the yachts, providing technical support as needed.

Requirements:
Proven experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining marine systems, preferably in the luxury yacht industry.
Strong understanding of yacht design, marine engineering principles, and relevant regulations and standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
