Our client who specialise in large composite structures and GRP mouldings for end users all across the globe. Operating from six sites with an overall capacity of 170,000 sq ft, our client employ over 170 skilled workers and can offer you a long-term career development with a strong and growing business.

This role will involve programming and operating our 3 axis CNC machine and Bulmer material cutting machine. You will also need to utilise your skills to query any error or change that you may observe on any particular job. Working in a small team, you would also be required to cover for colleagues when requested to do so.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Writing, editing and adjusting programs using Alphacam and Siemens controls.
• Setting up and operating the 3 axis and Bulmer machine cutting a variety of woods and foams.
• Producing accurate and intricate components for our GRP and Composites teams to use in our quality critical market.
• In-process inspection using various hand measuring instruments to ensure products produced are accurate.
• Work with CNC Manager and team to develop processes.
• General housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
• Process improvement to ensure output is efficient and cost-effective.

Key skills and experience:
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Full, clean driving licence / forklift licence.
• Good accuracy and organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, hands-on approach and a desire to be proactive and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent PC skills.
