Assistant Marina Manager - Norwich

We are working with one of Norfolks best know waterside tourist destinations to find an Assistant Manager This fantastic opportunity is for a friendly, customer focused individual to join their team.

Your main responsibility will be to assist the General Manager (Marina Manager) to ensure the smooth running and effective management of the site in-line with the financial, business, employee, and customer service objectives.

Key responsibilities
• Deputising and covering for the Marina Manager in his or her absence;
• To carry out planned and required work as instructed in line with company standards;
• Assist the Marina Manager with the effective management of the site's financial performance in order to achieve budgets and targets and accurately reporting on same;
• Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of service to customers, team members, management and Directors;
• Recruiting, managing, developing and retaining high quality employees;
• Assisting the Marina Manager with the identification and exploitation of opportunities to improve profitability, revenue growth and customer service delivery;
• To support the Team Leaders;
• To ensure that legislative guidelines/regulations are rigorously followed with particular regard to health & safety and hygiene.

Duties
• To assist the Marina Manager to manage and promote a good standard of customer service and team productivity on the site.
• To deliver a high quality of service to customers, team members management and Directors;
• Supervises and coordinates work of his or her team;
• To assist the Marina Manager to maintain adequate and cost effective manning levels at the site through effective recruitment and retention of employees;
• To monitor, evaluate and enhance employee performance through the provision of regular feedback and performance appraisal, setting objectives and training, coaching and development activities;
• To assist the Marina Manager in ensuring that the fabric of the site and equipment is maintained in good condition;
• To perform monitoring activities to ensure that boats comply with the regulations and standards;
• To work using your initiative and seek guidance when necessary;
• Consults with your line manager to determine necessary repairs;
• To assist the Marina Manager in ensuring that all administrative/paperwork activities relating to the site are carried out to company requirements;
• Other duties as required by the group.
