Structural Engineer (Mid to Senior Level) - Design & Engineering Consultancy
A leading brand in the design and engineering of large craft seek a skilled Structural Engineer of a mid to senior level to join their expanding team, working across a host of challenging new projects.
With an international project reach that covers craft of 50m and above, the brand have seen strong onwards growth of late, with a number of craft in build and more at final stage of design and about to commence. Having built an exceptional industry reputation and recruiting a multinational team of the highest calibre, they are now one of the go-to consultancies.
With their expanding client base seeking more obscure, larger or more technically advanced craft, the structural challenges facing engineers have increased and in turn have to adhere to tightening classification requirements.
Joining what is possibly the most challenging department within the company, the Structural Engineer will be fulfilling the following duties:
- Full-cycle structural calculations
- Structural Engineering in line with class and flag requirements
- 2D/3D Modelling of structural arrangements
- Close working across naval architecture and mechanical engineering to define overall layouts
- FEA Analysis and simulation
As a candidate you will be a degree qualified naval architect but have specialised your career towards structures in either steel or aluminium, with 5+ years experience working with craft of 30m and above. You'll be confident in structural engineering using a variety of tools, most prominently Strand7. With excellent teamwork skills and a passion for solving engineering challenges, you'll join a brand that will embrace and promote your ambition
