Are you an experienced Naval Architect looking for your next challenge?
My client is growing their Commercial Naval Architecture team and is looking for talented Senior and Principal Naval Architects to join them.
What You’ll Be Doing
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative vessel designs across a wide variety of projects, from concept to build. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams on vessel design projects.
- Developing hull forms, stability and seakeeping assessments, propulsion analysis and weight calculations.
- Supporting tender bids with technical input, drawings, and 3D renderings.
- Engaging directly with clients to understand and shape technical requirements.
- Overseeing project delivery, ensuring quality standards are met.
What They’re Looking For
- Degree (BEng/MEng/MSc) in Naval Architecture.
- 5+ years’ relevant industry experience (more for Principal level).
- Strong background in core naval architecture skills: hull design, stability, seakeeping, performance prediction and structural arrangements.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to deliver projects to time, budget and quality.
- Skilled in CAD (2D/3D – AutoCAD essential, Maxsurf desirable).
- Leadership experience with the ability to guide and support teams.
- Experience in a range of vessel types (catamarans, monohulls, SWATH, SES, pentamaran etc.) and knowledge of classification rules would be an advantage.
