We’re seeking a Senior Marine Engineer to join our team in Fareham, supporting commercial marine vessel projects across their full lifecycle—from concept and procurement to in-service support and upgrades.
About the Role
As a Senior Marine Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of technical marine engineering solutions across a wide range of vessels, focusing on lightweight, high-speed craft for UK and international clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing marine mechanical systems using 2D and 3D CAD tools
- Conducting surveys and engineering investigations
- Leading technical projects and interfacing with suppliers and clients
- Supporting R&D initiatives and sustainability-focused innovations
- Contributing to design improvements, build efficiency, and technical reporting
About You
You should have:
- HND, HNC, or Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' marine design experience (15–70m+ vessels)
- Strong AutoCAD 2D skills; 3D CAD proficiency is a plus
- Experience with system schematics, ship specs, technical drawings
- Solid knowledge of construction materials, classification rules, and integration challenges
- Excellent communication and project management skills
