We are working with an expanding company who have purchased a group of chandleries. This dynamic and passionate company are looking to grow their team! They are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to help support the Purchasing Manager.
Day to day tasks will include:
- Phone and email enquiries, order processing and business administration
- Raising and sending purchase orders
- Raising and sending sales orders, passing enquiries on to relevant team members
- Supplier order acknowledgement, resolving queries and organising deliveries to deadlines
- Maintain accurate supplier cost and product reference information in the company stock management system
- Warehouse stock co-ordination
- Customer assistance in all aspects of product recommendation and product knowledge
- Data inputting into ERP system, ensuring stock file record are up to date and accurate
- Track inbound and outbound orders and deliveries to chandlery stores
- Monitoring and process product returns, keeping the system & related records up to date
- Support the warehouse/dispatch team
The ideal Candidate will have:
- A firm knowledge of sailing or marine industry
- Customer service experience
- A good understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel, Computer literate
- Meticulously and very good attention to detail
- Organised with the ability to Multi-task
- Ability to take direction, work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
- Desirable:
- Purchasing, buying experience
- ERP System experience
- Knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures
