Marine Resources is currently recruiting for several skilled Marine Platers to join one of our clients based in Portsmouth.
You will be required to have a shipbuilding/ ship repair background ideally within the MOD/ Naval Industry.
The ideal candidates will be able to: -Read/Interpret Engineering Drawings and Guidance information.
  • Accurate marking off using measuring tools, being familiar with the use of straight edges, spirit levels, set squares, chalk/string lines, plumb bobs etc.
  • Have all the basic hand skills, i.e., burning & chamfering of various gauges and types of plate.
  • Tack welding and short-run fillet welding
  • Confident in Burning and Grinding
  • Understand and follow health & safety arrangements Requirements:
  • Minimum of NVQ level 3 or Apprenticeship Qualification or equivalent
  • Marine experience
 

Start: Immediate (once background and screening process is complete)
Location: Portsmouth
RATE: £25.77p/h - £36.38p/h Umbrella (inside IR35) - these rates are dependant on shift pattern worked which is dependant on what project is being worked on.

Requirements:
Previous Naval Experience
CTC or SC Clearance is ideal however if you have no clearance you must be prepared to go through background checks due to the nature of the work involved.
